Industry Leaders Convene with Synthesys at Token2049 to Discuss the Future of Asset Tokenization.

At the recent Token2049 Singapore week, Synthesys, along with Franklin Templeton, GSR, Fidelity International, KPMG, and Drew & Napier LLC, hosted “The Path Forward: Tokenized Securities”. Darien, Co-founder and CEO at Synthesys, addressed the audience on the future of financial markets and how infrastructural innovation can set the stage for a new wave of transformation driven by asset tokenization.

A century ago, the world’s first mutual fund opened its door to everyday investors. Six decades later, ETFs (Exchange-traded funds) made diversification as easy as buying a single share. Each of these milestones expanded investor access and reshaped how capital flowed through global markets— a little more open, a little more fluid. But still relies on traditional financial market infrastructure today, which is defined by market silos, restricted trading hours, and geographical constraints.

Darien makes a clear emphasis that asset tokenization represents the next paradigm shift as analysts now project trillions of dollars in assets to migrate onto tokenized rails, enabling liquidity and composability that conventional systems cannot match.

To make that future possible, the financial system needs more than new assets. Synthesys builds precisely that, an infrastructural layer for the next generation of capital markets— a connective tissue between distribution, liquidity and custody designed to bridge silos and support seamless movement of tokenized assets across markets.

As the world moves toward wallet-based capital markets, Darien explained, new infrastructure will be critical for wider mass adoption of tokenized securities.

As financial systems evolve, infrastructure like Synthesys will be the bridge that transforms today’s fragmented markets into tomorrow’s unified digital economy.
